Day 7 – Calypso Cruise

We booked a cruise for today with Calypso Cruise to Tortuga Island, an uninhabited island in the Gulf of Nicoya. The day started off with a traditional Costa Rican breakfast. Afterwards, we boarded the catamaran for our cruise to Tortgua Island. Once we arrived on the island we hopped onto a smaller boat to take us snorkeling! The water wasn’t too clear, but we were still able to see all sorts of fish. After snorkeling, we were brought back to the island to have a very delicious lunch.

A few of the cruise members played some tropical music while we ate.
About an hour after lunch we got to go on a banana boat ride! My mom and I were able to go twice: once on a relaxing ride and once on a more “wild” ride where we got flipped off the banana boat. The rest of the day was spent relaxing on the beach or in the water. Overall, it was a great experience that I would definitely recommend to others!

When we got back to our hotel I was able to hang out with my new bffs.
